The Marketing Manager will oversee the development and implementation of Uganda’s tourism marketing strategy and Destination Uganda brand manual, positioning Uganda as a preferred tourism destination worldwide.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
Develop and coordinate the implementation of the Destination Uganda marketing strategy.
Oversee the implementation and review of the destination brand strategy.
Coordinate the development and execution of advertising campaigns and activations in domestic, regional, and international markets.
Monitor marketing trends, conduct competitor analysis, and analyze data to maintain a competitive advantage.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, Economics, Commerce, Business Administration, Tourism and Hospitality, or other relevant degree from a reputable university.
Master’s Degree in Economics, Business Administration, Tourism and Hospitality, or Marketing.
Professional marketing qualification (e.g., Chartered Institute of Marketing [CIM]) or another relevant certification is an added advantage.
10 years of experience, with 5 years in a senior management role within a reputable, large organization.
Skills
Excellent project management skills.
Proven ability to develop marketing strategies and market intelligence briefs.
Ability to analyze target audience/market segments and gather insights for the Board’s marketing strategy.
Skilled in budgetary analysis for directing and guiding marketing decisions.
Excellent communication (verbal and written) and leadership skills.
