We seek to recruit a Dynamic, Competent and experienced Candidate to fill the Vacant Position of Data Analyst at Watu Uganda.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the asset recovery teams to ensure that data is captured, updated, and reported promptly.
- Track and analyze recovery rates, providing insights into trends and areas for process improvement.
- Perform regular analysis on stolen asset cases to identify patterns and provide recommendations to improve recovery rates and prevent future theft.
- Build and maintain dashboards to allow real-time tracking of asset status and recovery efforts.
- Serve as a backup for the rest of the Team, stepping in to assist with data entry, case updates, and report generation during peak periods or when team members are unavailable.
- Proactively identify opportunities to streamline data management processes and improve the accuracy of asset tracking and recovery metrics.
- Use statistical techniques to interpret data, providing reports, visualizations, and presentations that summarize key findings.
- Perform any other task that may be assigned to you by the Head of the Department/ Senior Management Team.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant should at least hold an Honors Degree in Bachelor of Statistics or Bachelor of Science Quantitative Economics, Statistics & Economics, Mathematics & Economics, and Bachelor of Demography or Population Studies.
- Microsoft Excel: Must have an advanced understanding of MS Excel methods like macros and VBA lookups, dealing with small data sets and quick analysis.
- Must possess basic knowledge of programming language and applications that allow them to read, write, organize, and analyze data within a relational database.
- Data Visualization: ability to transform complex data into a form that’s easy to understand & drawing conclusions from data and presenting them using visually compelling charts, tables, and graphs using application like power bi.
- Critical Thinking: Must have the ability to identify errors, bugs, and roadblocks in processes and be innovative in finding solutions for the said problems.
- Knowledge on Recovery Operations is an added advantage
- Must possess good communication skills.
- Must have zero indiscipline record with no warning letter (s)
